Accomplished, humble, and marked for success, Dr. Markesha Miller is a leading expert in the mental health field. As a licensed and nationally certified psycho-therapist, consultant, mental health media expert, and host of “On the Mark with Dr. Markesha Miller", she has made her mark and continues to emphasize it in mental health.
A fifteen-year court-appointed special advocate (CASA) and frequent lecturer and presenter at conferences, universities, and experts to various media outlets, Dr. Miller answers the call daily to provide her expertise across numerous platforms. She is a triple alum of the University of South Carolina, earning a B.A, Ed.S, and Ph.D respectively. She is the owner and clinical director of Holistic Psychological Associates and an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Miller is the former host of Therapy Thursdays on WACH-TV 57 and present host of “On the Mark with Dr. Markesha Miller” which is currently preparing for syndication.
Over the past 18 years, she has published on various issues ranging from multicultural pedagogy to wellness and participated in national, regional, and state-wide presentations on topics ranging from multicultural education issues (undergraduate and graduate students) to examining the various educational, cultural and environmental issues that affect mental health. Dr. Miller is committed! This commitment is not only to educate, research, and lecture but a passion to educate the public about various mental health issues that plague our families and communities. She currently serves on various boards throughout South Carolina and is the founder of The Marguerite C. Blackwell Foundation, which serves to address mental health issues in rural areas.
